Many of you have been following the saga of Killian's premature birth almost a month ago. He was born three months early, but he's been improving, little by little, ever since. There is, however, a major new setback the little man has to face: surgery today, starting at 2:00 p.m. ET. In other words, he is in surgery right now, as I post this.
My son Timothy has posted updates on Killian on his blog with an explanation of what this surgery entails.
Everyone in the Madrid family would be profoundly grateful to any of you who would stop what you are doing right now and say some fervent prayers for Killian. Thank you.
Lifting your precious grandson, his medical team, and your entire family up in prayer during this time of trial. May the love & peace of Jesus be with you, as well as the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit.

ReplyDeleteHi Patrick,
ReplyDeleteProvidentially, I ran across this right now as the surgery is starting. I will go pray 'fervently' for your little grandson. I, too had a premature baby born three months early, many years ago. He also had surgery a little less than a month old. He did not do well for his first two months, but slowly got better the third month and he came home at three and a half months. We never knew if he would be healthy when he grew up. But, with the medicine that was available then, and the prayers of 1,000's of people around the world, he is healthy and fine today. I wish the same blessing of health to your grandson, and the comfort of knowing that many are praying with you and for you.
In Christ,
Coleen Kelly Mast
